ANNANDALE-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. - The Bard College men's squash team opened the Bard Round Robin with a pair of wins Saturday afternoon, topping Colgate University 7-2, before sweeping Siena College to conclude day one of the event.

With the wins, the Raptors improved to 4-0 for the second time in the last three seasons. 

Bard secured the contests with relative ease, though Colgate did provide some exciting moments. In the No. 6 spot, Simon Nichoson rallied from 2-1 set deficit to beat his opponent, 3-2. In the No. 5 spot, Alex Luscher also nearly pulled out a five-set win, but ultimately fell in the final frame.

Other wins for Bard against Colgate included straight-set sweeps by Rhys Nordstrom, Julian Dime, Theo Webb, Artun Ak and Noah Gichan.

That winning mentality carried into Bard's second game of the afternoon, as the hosts topped Siena College, 9-0, while not dropping a set in the process. 

Up next for the Raptors is day two of the Bard Round Robin. The Raptors are currently slated to play just one match against Swarthmore College at 10 a.m. tomorrow (11/11).
