ANNANDALE-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. - The Bard College women's volleyball lost a non-conference game Friday night, falling to the Mustangs of Morrisville State in straight sets.
Set scores for the contest were 25-8, 25-11 and 25-11. The Raptors are now 6-14 on the season, while Morrisville now sits at 16-5.
The Mustangs were in the driver's seat all night long against the Raptors. The visitors powered their way to the first set win on the back of their .611 hitting percentage and an 11:0 kills to errors ratio in the frame.
In the second and third sets, the hot hitting continued for Morrisville, as the guests recorded double digit kills in both frames.
As for the Raptors, they couldn't get into a groove hitting the ball most of the night, as they finished with just 15 kills in the loss.
Storm Bookhard recorded five of those kills in the effort, while
Jewel Smith added 13 assists and
Emily Anastasi collected 15 digs.
Meanwhile, Morrisville got nine kills from Amelia Baratier (Liverpool, NY), and seven apiece from Megyan Merrill (Millport, NY) and Kirsten Florio (Wellsboro, PA).
