ROCHESTER, N.Y. - The Bard College women's lacrosse team lost to the Univerity of Rochester, 14-3, in a Liberty League game on Saturday afternoon.
The Yellowjackets improved to 7-2 overall, 3-1 in the Liberty League; Bard fell to 3-5, 0-4.
Rochester scored the first six goals of the game, outshooting the Raptors, 29-2, in the first half. But both of Bard's first half shots went in - both by freshman
Melissa Rosenthal - and it was 8-2 at halftime.
The Yellowjackets then scored the first six goals of the second half before
Dylan McDonald scored for Bard on an assist from Rosenthal.
Jamie Wallisch (Amherst, NH) led the winners with four goals.
Rosenthal finished with two goals and an assist for Bard. McDonald, Rosenthal and
Kaylynn Tran each collected two ground balls. Tran made 16 saves, matching the program record for saves in a game which she holds.
The Raptors will next play a non-league game at Southern Vermont on Tuesday.
