SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. - The Bard College women's lacrosse team lost at Skidmore College, 19-2, in a Liberty League contest Saturday afternoon.

The Raptors dropped to 4-8 overall, 0-7 in Liberty League play, while the Thoroughbreds of Skidmore moved to 10-5, 6-2. 

Skidmore dominated from the opening whistle, as the team scored the first 11 goals of the game. 

Bard was able to score back-to-back goals late in the opening half, as Melissa Rosenthal and Caleigh DeCaprio scored goals just over a minute apart from each other, making the halftime score, 11-2.

But that was all the Raptors would get on the day, as the visitors were held scoreless in the second half. 

The Thoroughbreds outshot Bard, 35-13 in the contest, while also winning the groundball, draw control and turnover battles. 

Rosenthal finished the afternoon with a goal, an assist, two groundballs, two caused turnovers and a draw control. Kaylynn Tran tallied 13 saves in loss, while also picking up three groundballs along the way.

Cas Szwajkowski (Rye, NY) recorded a game-high six goals for Skidmore, as she was one of eight different Throughbred players to score in the win.

The Raptors return to action next weekend, April 28th, as they host St. Lawrence. That game is scheduled to begin at 4 p.m. and you can follow it right here via Live Stats and Live Video.
