KINGSTON, N.Y. - The Bard College women's lacrosse team lost to Union College, 16-0, in a Liberty League game on Saturday.
The Dutchwomen improved to 2-4 overall, 1-1 in the Liberty League; Bard is 3-3, 0-2.
Union scored twice in the first 70 seconds to set the tone, and ran out to an 11-0 halftime lead. On the game, Union outshot Bard, 24-5, and won the ground ball battle, 18-9.
Mallory Toolan (Tarrytown, NY) led the winners with four goals and an assist. Julia Pfohl (White Plains, NY) added one goal and three assists. Jen Hughes (Wolfeboro, NH) made three saves and picked up the win.
Dylan McDonald caused three turnovers and scooped up four ground balls for Bard.
Melissa Rosenthal led the Raptors with three draw controls.
Kaylynn Tran made six saves.
