HOBOKEN, N.J. - The Bard College men's volleyball team was beaten by 8th-ranked Stevens Institute of Technology, 3-0, in a United Volleyball Conference match on Wednesday night.
The Ducks improved to 24-4 overall, and 4-2 in the UVC; Bard fell to 5-18, 0-6.
Set scores for the winners were 25-10, 25-10 and 25-14. Stevens dominated from the start, hitting .574 for the match, producing 40 kills to Bard's 17. Stevens also had seven aces and eight blocks.
Freshman Mitch Brooks (Orinda, CA) led Stevens with seven kills (.875) and four blocks.
Stefan Briggs had seven kills for Bard;
Tyler Zowaski had 11 digs, while
Tristan Kozul and
Josh Kim finished with four digs apiece.
Bard will finish the UVC portion of the 2017 schedule on Saturday, when Penn State-Behrend and Vassar visit Annandale. You can follow those matches live right here. It'll be Senior Day for
