ANNANDALE-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. - After scoring just 31 points in a loss to Vassar last month, the Bard College women's basketball team scored 16 points in the first quarter against the Brewers in Wednesday night's home finale.
But Vassar broke the game open with a 19-4 second-quarter run, and the Brewers rolled to a 75-45 victory over Bard in a Liberty League game.
Vassar is 12-12 overall, 9-6 in the league and still in the hunt for a playoff spot. Bard is 0-24, 0-14.

Andra Moye, had six points in the first quarter and Bard trailed, 20-16, after 10 minutes. But the Brewers started the second quarter on an 11-2 run and never looked back.
Vassar used its bench early and often, and everyone who played scored. Four players finished in double figures, led by Jackie Cenan (Laguna Beach, CA), who had 14 points. Ariella Rosenthal (Mill Valley, CA), Samarah Cook (Redding, CT) and Maddie Leong (Atascadero, CA) had 10 points apiece.
The two seniors finished in double figures for Bard. Kissel had 14 points and seven rebounds; Moye had 11 points.
Sarah Morris contributed eight points and six rebounds.
