Bard defeated by 24th-ranked Ithaca

ANNANDALE-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. - The Bard College women's basketball team lost to 24th-ranked Ithaca College, 82-33, in a Liberty League game on Saturday afternoon.

It was the first meeting between the schools, as Ithaca is the newest member of the conference. The guests scored 30 first-quarter points and rolled to their sixth win (6-1 overall, 2-0 Liberty League).

Sophomore Cassidy O'Malley (Summit, NY) led Ithaca with 14 points; she also grabbed five rebounds.

Bard (0-6, 0-2) got 12 points and six rebounds from Caleigh DeCaprio, and 10 points and 10 rebounds from Alexis Akingbade.
