ANNANDALE-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. - The Bard College women's basketball team lost to Rochester Institute of Technology, 95-29, in a Liberty League game on Saturday afternoon.
The Tigers (9-3 overall, 2-2 Liberty League) made 11 of their first 16 shots and scored a whopping 28 points in the first quarter. The finished the first half at 57 percent from the field and took a 49-15 lead into halftime. For the game, RIT shot 56 percent from the field and made 13-of-22 three-pointers.
Thirteen players scored for the visitors, led by Jessica Glaz (Rockaway Beach, NY), who had 12 points, and Taylor Burns (Rochester, NY), who had 10 points.
Bard got 12 points on four three-pointers from freshman
Caleigh DeCaprio and 10 points from
Annie Kissel.
Alexis Akingbade led Bard with eight rebounds, and
Jade Waring had three assists.
