POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. - The Bard College women's basketball team lost to Vassar College Tuesday night, 101-31.
The Raptors (0-11, 0-3 Liberty League) fell behind early on the road and were never able to rally back. They scored the opening basket of the game on a jumper from
Jade Waring, but then allowed Vassar (6-8, 3-2 Liberty League) to go on a 20-0 run. After ten minutes, the hosts led 25-7.
By halftime, the game was in hand for the Vassar, as they possessed a 49-8 lead.
The Brewers shot a scorching 54 percent from the field Tuesday night, while Bard was only able to connect on 34 percent of its shots. Vassar also won the rebounding and turnover battles pretty handily.
Annie Kissel led both teams in scoring, as she tallied 18 points on the night.
Alexis Akingbade continued her impressive rebounding streak, finishing the game with 11 boards.
Vassar had six players finish in double-digits, including Sabrina Ulsh (Bellingham, MA), who scored a team-high 14 points.
