GENEVA, N.Y. - The Bard College women's basketball team lost to William Smith College, 82-39, in a Liberty League game on Saturday afternoon.
The Herons maintained their hold on first place in conference play, improving to 15-4 overall and 9-1 in the league. Bard fell to 0-17, 0-9.
William Smith shot 63 percent from the field in the first half, scoring 31 points in the first quarter. The Raptors battled hard in the second quarter, being outscored 18-16, and it was 51-30 at halftime.
The Herons held Bard to nine points in the second half.
The hosts were led by Kendra Quinn-Moultrie (Hamburg, NY), who had 14 points, and Mary Buck (Auburn, NY) who had 11 points and five rebounds.
Bard got 15 points from
Annie Kissel, and eight points and five rebounds from
Alexis Akingbade.
