ROCHESTER, N.Y. - The Bard College women's basketball team put together one of its best offensive performances of the season on Friday night, losing a Liberty League game at Rochester Institute of Technology, 91-45.
Scoring has been a struggle, but Bard (0-16, 0-8 Liberty League) shot 36 percent from the floor in the first half, including 5-for-11 from beyond the three-point line. Unfortunately, RIT scored 31 points in the first quarter and led, 47-26, at halftime.
RIT's offense kept humming in the second half, and the Tigers (11-7, 5-5) finished the game shooting 56 percent from the field. Ashlynn Palmitesso (Fulton, NY) led the winners with 22 points.
Bard got 14 points and six rebounds from senior
Andra Moye, and 10 points from senior
Annie Kissel. Moye went 4-for-9 from beyond the arc, and as a team, Bard had a great game shooting threes (8-for-17).
