SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. - The Bard College men's basketball team lost to two-time defending Liberty League champion Skidmore College, 82-54, in a conference game on Saturday afternoon.
Skidmore improved to 13-5 overall and 8-1 in the league; Bard fell to 2-14, 0-7.
The Thoroughbreds got out and an 8-0 lead and never relinquished it. They shot 50 percent from the field in the first half, made seven three-pointers and handed out 10 assists. It was 44-25 at halftime.
The winners got 19 points, five rebounds and six assists from Aldin Medunjanin (New York, NY), 17 points and five rebounds from Edvinus Rupkus (Naujoji Akmene, Lithuania), and 14 points and eight rebounds from Jack Byrne (Hazlet, NJ).
Bard got 14 points and five rebounds from
Jelani Bell-Isaac, and 10 points and 10 rebounds from
Armando Dunn.
