ANNANDALE-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. - The Bard College men's tennis team lost to St. Lawrence University, 9-0, in the opener of the spring portion of the 2015-16 schedule on Saturday.

St. Lawrence (4-1, 1-0 Liberty League) swept all three doubles matches without losing a game. In singles, Bard's Ted Laport pushed Dean Sponholz (Glen Rock, NJ), but lost 6-4, 7-5. At No. 5, Bard freshman Satchel Fisher lost to Elliot Solandt (Ranchos Palos Verdes, CA) 6-4, 1-6, 10-8.

Bard's next matches will also be in the Liberty League, RPI and RIT will visit on Apr. 2 and Apr. 3, respectively. Bard is 1-5, 0-4 in the Liberty League.
