ANNANDALE-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. - The Bard women's volleyball team made it three straight victories Tuesday night, as they outpaced SUNY Cobleskill at home, 3-0.

Set scores for the Raptors were 25-22, 25-13 and 25-16.

Bard (5-16) fell behind late in the first set, 22-18, before rallying back and scoring the next seven points, thanks to three kills, three aces and a Cobleskill (6-14) error. As a result, Bard was able to steal the set, 25-22. 

In the second set, the Raptors had no trouble with the Fighting Tigers, leading at one point by a score of 24-9, before ultimately taking the set, 25-13.

In the final set, it began as more of the same for Bard, as they jumped out to comfortable lead, 17-5. The visitors didn't go quietly though, as they scored the next seven points of the set to make it a 17-12 game. However, Bard buckled down and was able to take the set, 25-16. 

Bard won the all important error battle, 17 to 23, but really won the match because of aces. Bard finished the match with 15 compared to Cobleskill's one. 

Philippine Alba had a stellar night, as her 16 kills led all players. She also had four aces, nine digs and a block for the Raptors. Maracela Talamantes had 21 assists, and Daniella Azulai contributed 12 digs.

Emilie Reimer (Mattituck, NY) lead the visitors with 10 kills. 

Bard will travel to participate in the Tom Hay Invitational at Springfield College on Friday and Saturday. The Raptors will play Endicott on Friday night and then Springfield and Westfield State on Saturday. You can follow those matches right here via Live Stats.
