TROY, N.Y. - The Bard College men's soccer team lost to Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, 3-0, in a Liberty League game on Saturday.
There was nothing much happening in the first half and it was scoreless at halftime. But RPI (7-6-3 overall, 5-2-1 Liberty League) scored the eventual game-winner just 91 seconds into the second half.
A corner kick from Devon Baughen (Sarasota, FL) was headed from the far side of the box diagonally into the far corner of the goal by Danny Corridan (Queens, NY), and it was 1-0.
Corridan assisted on a goal by Steven Collins (Flemington, NJ) in the 68th minute, and Collins struck again in the 88th minute off a feed from Nick Revano (Metuchen, NJ) to close out the scoring.
RPI outshot Bard, 12-6.
Taylor Bond made four saves for the Raptors (6-6-3, 1-5-0 LL). Matt LaBranche (Wilbraham, MA) made one save for RPI.
