Late push lifts Union past Bard, 55-37

SCHENECTADY, N.Y. – A 12-2 run that bridged the third and fourth quarters broke open a close game, and the Bard College women's basketball team lost to Union College, 55-37, in Liberty League action on Sunday.

Both teams were cold to start the third quarter, but the Raptors cut the deficit to 32-27 on a three-pointer by freshman Sarah Morris with 3:10 to go in the third. Union (7-2, 2-0 LL) responded with a 12-2 run and pushed the lead to as much as 18 in the fourth quarter. The hosts played tough defense, holding Bard to a season-low 21 percent from the field.
