CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - The Bard College men's volleyball team lost to Endicott College, 3-0, on the first day of the MIT Scramble.
The Gulls defeated Bard 25-15, 25-11 and 25-22.
Endicott (14-10) scored eight of the last 10 points and hit .619 to take the first set, 25-15. Endicott jumped out to a 10-4 lead in the second set and never looked back.
Bard fell behind 12-5 and 20-13 in the third set before putting together a rally. The Raptors eventually cut the lead to 23-21, but the Gulls pulled it out on consecutive kills from Troy Riorden (Fairport, NY).
Endicott was led by Daniel Toth (Vernon, NJ), who had nine kills (.375) and five blocks.
Bard (8-20) got six kills and two blocks from
Alex Adams, 14 assists and six digs from
Joseph Stier, and 10 digs from
Tyler Zowaski.
The Raptors will wrap up the 2015 season with a pair of matches on Saturday. They play MIT at 10:30 a.m., then Lehman at 1 p.m. You can follow both games via Live Stats.
