ANNANDALE-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. - The Bard College men's tennis team opened the spring portion of the 2014-15 season with an 8-1 victory over St. Joseph's College of Long Island on Thursday night.

Bard improved to 2-5; St. Joseph's is 1-4.

The Raptors swept all three doubles matches, yielding just five games in the process. They followed that up with five out of six wins in singles, including Ted Laport (#2), Keillor Mose (#3), Billy Kwon (#4), Isaac Lertola (#5) and Miguel Garchitorena (#6). All six singles matches were won in straight sets.

Bard jumps back into Liberty League action this weekend with a trip to Rochester. The Raptors will play at RIT on Saturday afternoon.
