GALLOWAY, N.J. - The Bard College women's lacrosse team scored first, but Richard Stockton responded with seven straight goals en route to a 16-4 victory over the Raptors in a non-league game on Saturday afternoon.
Bard's
Joanna Regan grabbed the first draw control, got into the offensive zone and scored 51 seconds into the game. Stockton scored seven in a row over the next 18 minutes, and although Regan scored again on a free position shot to make it 7-2 with 10 minutes left in the first half, the Raptors never got closer. It was 12-3 at halftime.
Kim Raichelson (Brick, NJ), Skyler Mahoney-Kendra (Tinton Falls, NJ), Nicole Miller (Southampton, NJ) and Zoey Kramer (Eatontown, NJ) each scored three times for the Ospreys, 5-1.
Regan scored twice for Bard.
Avalon Qian and
Gemma Godfrey added single goals, and
Kaylynn Tran made seven saves for the Raptors, 0-3. Regan had six draw controls, while Qian and
Hallie Nolan had four ground balls apiece.
Bard next opens Liberty League play on Friday night against William Smith College. The game will played at Vassar College starting at 6:30. You can follow it via Live Stats.
