ANNANDALE-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. - The Bard College men's volleyball team saw its two-match win streak snapped on Tuesday night with a 3-0 loss to Lehman College in a non-league contest.
Lehman hit .320 in the first set, .423 in the second set, and .583 in the final set and won going away, 25-19, 25-18 and 25-9. The Lightning hit .440 for the match.
Both the first and second sets were tight until it got into the high teens, and the third set was 6-6 before Lehman (8-3) went on a 14-0 run to put the game away.
Junior Jaleel Lino (Punta Gorda, Belize) had 13 kills (.524) and 13 digs for the winners. Robert Ventura Diaz (New York, NY) added 12 kills, and Miguel Gallardo (Bronx, NY) had nine kills with zero errors (.562.) Emmanuel Ortiz (Bronx, NY) had 37 assists.
For Bard (5-13),
Alex Adams had seven kills and
Jesse Small had six.
Joseph Stier had 21 assists and
Tyler Zowaski led the Raptors with six digs.
