ANNANDALE-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. - The Bard College women's basketball team lost to Vassar College, 58-42, in a Liberty League game on Wednesday night.

A close game early, Vassar put together a 10-0 run midway through the first half, then a 9-0 run late in the half to take a 31-19 lead at the break.

Bard (4-19 overall, 0-15 Liberty League) cut the lead to eight with 9:34 left in the game, but the Brewers (11-13, 6-9) made 50 percent of their shots in the second half and never allowed Bard closer.

Vassar senior Caitlin Drakeley (Woodbury, CT) led the winners with 18 points, including the 1,000th of her career. Ariella Rosenthal (Mill Valley, CA) added 14 points, and Rose Serafini (Milton, ONT) contributed six points, 13 rebounds and seven blocks.

The Raptors got 20 points from Bianka Bell and 11 points and 15 rebounds from Tytravia Riley. It was the last home game in the careers of Liz Freud and Joanna Regan.

Bard has a pair of games left, the first on Thursday night at Sage. Then the Raptors will complete the 2014-15 season with a Liberty League game at RPI on Sunday afternoon. You can follow both games live right here.
