ANNANDALE-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. - Bard College senior
Tytravia Riley broke Bard's career rebounding record in the second quarter, and the Raptors improved to 2-0 with a 54-42 victory over Albany Pharmacy in a non-league game on Wednesday night.
Bard got out to an early lead and had a comfortable eight-point lead at halftime. But Albany Pharmacy (5-1) opened the third quarter with a 9-4 run and trimmed the deficit to three, using traps and pressure.
The Raptors responded with a 7-0 run and pushed the lead back to nine by the start of the fourth quarter, and the lead ballooned to 20 with just over five minutes left in the game.
Morgan Esperti (Charlton, NY) led the visitors with 14 points. The Panthers shot just 22 percent from the field.
Riley, who is already Bard's all-time leading scorer, collected her 1,055th in the second quarter. She finished with 20 points, 19 rebounds, two steals and an assist, despite sitting out much of the fourth quarter.
Bianka Bell added 18 points, five rebounds and four steals. Sophomore

Annie Kissel contributed four points, four rebounds and four blocked shots.
