Game Recap: Women's Soccer |

Raptors dispatched by No. 6 William Smith

ANNANDALE-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. - Since joining the Liberty League in 2011, the Bard College women's soccer team has encountered some pretty impressive sides from William Smith College, including the 2013 team, which went on to win the National Championship.

But the William Smith side they saw on Saturday might be the best yet.

The sixth-ranked Herons dispatched Bard, 8-0, in a Liberty League game to improve to 11-1-1 overall and 6-0-0 in the conference. It was their 10th consecutive shutout.

Krista Longo (Morristown, NJ) scored three goals and Brie Ruane (Roslyn Harbor, NY) had two for the guests. William Smith outshot Bard, 16-6, and scored all eight goals by the 53rd minute.

Ryan O'Connell made five saves in her first start of the year for Bard (5-8-1, 1-6-0 Liberty League).

Up next for Bard is a non-league game at Utica on Wednesday night. You can follow that game via Live Stats or Live Video right here.
