ROCHESTER, N.Y. - Bard College junior Tytravia Riley scored her 1000th career point in a 61-37 loss to Rochester Institute of Technology on Friday night.

Riley scored 10 points and grabbed 13 rebounds. She has 1,003 career points, making her only the second women's basketball player at Bard to break the 1000-point barrier. Bard's all-time leading scorer is Latiqua Williams, who graduated in 2011 with 1,098 career points.

The loss moved Bard to 4-9 overall, 0-5 in the Liberty League. RIT is 8-7, 2-4.

The game was even after 10 minutes, but Bard's shooting suddenly went cold, and RIT took advantage. A 17-6 run to end the half gave the Tigers a 27-16 halftime lead. In the first 20 minutes, RIT shot 44 percent and Bard shot 20 percent.

It continued in the second half. Bard trimmed the lead to 29-21 with 16:32 left, but RIT pulled away, eventually building a 24-point lead. RIT shot 51 percent for the game; Bard shot 25 percent.

Freshman Jessica Glaz (Rockaway Beach, NY) led the winners with 11 points off the bench, and senior Merrissa Maiorano (Rochester, NY) added 10 points and eight rebounds.
