Box Score 2 BRONXVILLE, N.Y. - The Bard College women's volleyball team split a pair of matches on Saturday, losing to Maritime College, 3-2, and sweeping Sarah Lawrence College, 3-0, for their first win of the season.
In the opener against Maritime, the Raptors (1-5) dropped the first two sets (25-16, 25-21) before rallying. Bard won the third set, 25-20, then fought off a few match points in winning the fourth set, 33-31. But Maritime (3-2) took the fifth and deciding set, 15-10.
The winners got 24 kills and 17 digs from freshman Shannon Brady (Bayport, NY).
For Bard, freshman
Philippine Alba led the way with 11 kills, five aces at 16 digs.
Lexi Akingbade added nine kills and hit .381;
Daniella Azulai had 24 digs; while
Amy Kassowitz and
Lexi Cooper had 20 and 15 assists, respectively.
Zoe Morgan-Weinman added eight kills and
Tytravia Riley had seven.
 The Raptors then swept Sarah Lawrence, 25-11, 25-14 and 25-7. Akingbade had seven kills with no errors, Cooper had 10 assists, and Alba led the team with eight digs.
