ANNANDALE-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. - The Bard College women's volleyball team lost a pair of matches in a home tri-meet on Saturday.
First, the Raptors lost to Bay Path, 3-2. Bard won the first two sets, but the Wildcats rallied and prevailed 20-25, 20-25, 25-21, 25-20 and 15-4.
In that match,
Tytravia Riley had a season-high 17 kills, while freshman
Lexi Akingbade added 10.
Lexi Cooper had 37 assists and Bard got 14 digs from
Philippine Alba and 11 from
Sarah Peskin.
After John Jay swept Bay Path, John Jay swept Bard, 25-19, 25-19 and 25-21. Riley and Akingbade had five kills apiece, Cooper had 20 assists, while Peskin, Alba and
Daniella Azulai each had five digs. The Raptors are 2-17.
Bard jumps back into Liberty League next weekend at Clarkson and St. Lawrence. The Raptors will play Union and St. Lawrence at Clarkson on Friday, then Skidmore and Clarkson at St. Lawrence on Saturday.
