SCHENECTADY, N.Y. - The Bard College women's soccer team was defeated by Union College, 3-0, in its Liberty League opener on Saturday.
Union (7-1-1, 1-0-1 Liberty League) dominated from the start, outshooting Bard 14-0 in the first half and 18-0 in the second half, while collecting 13 corners in the game to none for the Raptors.
Senior Whitney Bickford (Pennington, NJ) scored twice, while junior Breana Derella (Glastonbury, CT) had a goal and an assist.

The Raptors (4-5-1, 0-1-0 Liberty League) head North next weekend. Bard will play 17th-ranked William Smith on Friday, then Rochester Institute of Technology on Saturday.
