YONKERS, N.Y. - The Bard College men's soccer team was defeated by College of Mount St. Vincent, 2-0, in a non-league game on Wednesday night.
The Dolphins (4-5) had a 12-1 advantage in shots in the first half but it was scoreless. It stayed that way until the 76th minute, when freshman Jaime Salazar (Long Beach, CA) scored off a 25-yard free kick. Mount St. Vincent added an insurance goal in the 89th minute when freshman Dennis Reyes (Waldwick, NJ) scored off a centering pass from Kevin Jardines (South Gate, CA).
Shots in the second half were 9-8 in favor of the hosts, but Bard (4-4) couldn't get one past David Melchor (Los Angeles, CA), who made five saves.
Daniel Gagne made nine saves for the Raptors.
