SCRANTON, Pa. - The Bard College women's volleyball team lost a pair of matches on Saturday at the Scranton Invitational.

The Raptors (0-4) lost to Wentworth and Gwynedd Mercy in straight sets.

Wentworth defeated Bard 25-19, 25-16 and 25-12. Amy Kassowitz had four kills and six digs for Bard, while Lexi Cooper led the team with six assists.

Gwynedd Mercy topped the Raptors 25-20, 25-15 and 25-18. Freshman Lexi Akingbade led Bard with six kills, Cooper and Kassowitz had eight assists apiece, and Kassowitz had nine digs. Freshmen Kaylynn Tran and Philippine Alba added eight digs apiece.

The Raptors will next play a tri-match on Saturday at Sarah Lawrence College with Maritime. They'll play Maritime at noon and Sarah Lawrence at 2.
