POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. - The Bard College men's tennis team has opened the season with matches against two of the top teams in the Liberty League.

On Wednesday, the Raptors lost to Vassar, 8-1. Freshman Keillor Mose picked up Bard's lone victory at No. 4 singles, defeating Vassar freshman Conrad Thurstone (Louisville, KY) 7-5, 6-4.

Ted Laport nearly took at set at No. 3 singles, falling to junior Evan Udine (Delray Beach, FL) 7-5, 6-1. The Raptors, 0-2, get right back on the court Thursday night when they host Mount Saint Mary College in a non-league match.

Vassar is 2-1.
