PURCHASE, N.Y. - The Bard College men's tennis team opened the spring portion of the 2012-13 schedule with an 8-1 non-league loss to Purchase College on Sunday.

Purchase (2-1) swept the three doubles matches, and won Nos. 1-4 in singles in straight sets. Bard's Dashiell Flach lost in three sets at No. 5 singles, and Isaac Lertola picked up Bard's only win, topping Cody Zweier at No. 6 singles, 6-3, 6-1.

The Raptors next host Brooklyn College in another non-league match on Saturday afternoon at 1.
