Women's volleyball team sweeps Sarah Lawrence, Maritime

Tiffany Leung had four kills and 11 digs against Maritime on Saturday. The Raptors snapped a 12-match losing streak and swept a pair of matches.
Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 ANNANDALE-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. - The Bard College women's volleyball team emphatically snapped a 12-match losing streak with 3-0 wins over Sarah Lawrence College and SUNY Maritime on Saturday afternoon.

The Raptors (4-20) started the day with a sweep of Sarah Lawrence (3-18), 25-22, 25-13 and 25-19. Rebecca Speckenbach had her best match of the season with seven kills and a .333 hitting percentage. Tytravia Riley had eight kills, five digs and a solo block; Lexi Cooper added 19 assists and eight digs, and Daniella Azulai led the team with 13 digs. Bard hit .344 in the third set.

After Sarah Lawrence defeated SUNY Maritime, 3-0, Bard also swept the Privateers (1-17). Set scores for Bard were 25-17, 25-13, and 25-11. The Raptors never trailed in the second and third sets.

Riley led the way with 10 kills (.375), Mai Aurell-Foulser added seven kills, and Lexi Cooper contributed 19 assists and 11 digs. Tiffany Leung also had 11 digs for Bard, which gets right back into Liberty League play on Friday. In a league event hosted by Union College, Bard will play RIT on Friday at 5, then Union at 7. On Saturday, Bard will travel to Skidmore for a noon match.
