SCHENECTADY, N.Y. - The Bard College men's tennis team lost to Union College, 7-2, in a Liberty League game on Tuesday afternoon.

Bard (0-2) won one of the three doubles matches when
Isaac Lertola and
Philip Poznansky prevailed at No. 3 doubles, 9-7. But Union won at No. 1, 2 and 3 singles to clinch the match.
Ted Laport defeated Spencer Fontein (Aurora, Ontario) 6-4, 6-4, at No. 4 singles, and Lertola's match at No. 6 went to a pro set, but David Brown prevailed 4-6, 6-3, 10-7.
Laport is 2-0 at No. 4 singles so far this fall.
Bard will next play at Vassar on Saturday afternoon in another Liberty League match.
