MAHWAH, N.J. - The Bard College men's tennis team fought hard but lost to Ramapo College, 7-2, in a non-conference match on Wednesday night.
The matches at No. 1 singles, No. 2 singles and No. 3 singles each went three sets, and the Raptors won two of the three. But it was all Bard could muster against the Roadrunners, who improved to 10-2 overall.

A Raptor Freshman won the first set at No. 1 singles, but eventually lost to Ramapo junior Justin Gersti (Upper Saddle River, NJ) 2-6, 6-3, 10-4. Freshman
Brian Bollman prevailed at No. 2 singles, rallying to defeat sophomore Evan Clayton (Hillsborough, NJ) 2-6, 6-4, 8-1, and freshman
Kevin McDonald won at No. 3 singles, topping senior Sam Klein (Hillsborough, NJ) 6-3, 2-6, 7-5.
The Raptors, 4-8 overall, will play a pair of matches this weekend. They'll host Sarah Lawrence on Saturday at 2, and NYU-Poly on Sunday at noon.
