ANNANDALE-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. - It's not often such a large group of seniors leave a college athletic program, but Bard had one of those nights on Wednesday.
The Raptors hosted 10th-ranked Vassar College on Senior Night. It was sometimes exciting, sometimes emotional, and over in three sets. Vassar swept Bard 25-16, 25-19 and 25-23.
Box score
Senior
Nick Chan, the most decorated men's volleyball player in the history of the school, had 18 kills and eight digs in his final home match, but it wasn't nearly enough.
Vassar cruised through the first two sets - Bard's only lead was 1-0 in the second set - but the Raptors made the third set interesting. Bard got up early and extended its lead to 13-7 at one point, but as the set wore on, Vassar started closing the gap. The Brewers eventually tied it, 17-17, and when they went ahead 18-17, they went ahead to stay. It was back and forth down the stretch, but Vassar took the third set, 25-23, and improved to 7-4 in the United Volleyball Conference, 15-8 overall.

Eliah Gardner,
Ryan Fallon and
Andrew Cortrite also played in their final home match. Gardner had six kills and six digs, Fallon had two kills and two blocks, and Cortrite had nine digs. Senior
