Raptors defeat Sarah Lawrence, 86-22

Box Score ANNANDALE-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. - The Bard College men's basketball team cruised to an 86-22 victory over Sarah Lawrence College in a non-league game on Saturday afternoon. It is the second-largest margin of victory in the program's history.

The Raptors, who have several injured players, now can look ahead to a long layoff before their next game, at Pacifica College in Riverside, Calif., on Dec. 28.

Bard jumped out to a 21-0 lead in the first seven minutes and never looked back. Senior co-captain Frank Stortini led the Raptors with 20 points and 11 rebounds, while sophomore Chris McNaughton poured in 16 points. Lamar Powell and Jeremy Arnstein added 11 points apiece, and sophomore Jose Canario added 10 points and 11 rebounds. Arnstein added five assists and four steals.

Bard is 2-3 heading into a break, then a trip to California. The Raptors will play Pacifica College on Dec. 28 and CalTech on Dec. 29. They'll jump into Liberty League play on Jan. 4 and 5 at Skidmore and Union, respectively.
