GENEVA, N.Y. - The Bard College men's basketball team got an up-close look at the first-place team in the Liberty League on Saturday.

It was ugly.

The Statesmen shot 52 percent from the field in the game and outrebounded the Raptors 45-23. Hobart had five players reach double figures, led by sophomore Richie Bonnie (Norwich, NY), who had 15 points and seven rebounds.

Bard got off to a bad start, missing 10 of its first 11 shots to fall into a 16-2 hole just six minutes in. The Raptors cut the lead to 11 a few minutes later but never got closer.

The Raptors (3-11 overall, 1-5 Liberty League) got eight points apiece from freshmen Chris McNaughton and Francis Arnold. Next up for Bard is Clarkson on Friday at 8 p.m.
