BROOKLINE, Mass. - The Bard College women's volleyball team was swept twice on Saturday, the final day of the Newbury College Invitational.
Early Saturday morning, Bard lost to Lasell College, 25-12, 25-19 and 25-17. Sophomore
Mai Aurell-Foulser led Bard with eight kills, freshman
Lexi Cooper had nine assists, and junior
Julia Denning had 16 digs.
Saturday afternoon, Bard lost to host Newbury, 3-0, by scores of 25-10, 25-13 and 25-22. Junior
Cara Chalk had four kills, Cooper had nine more assists, and Denning had nine digs.
After the tournament, Denning was named to the All-Tournament team.
Lasell went 4-0 to win the tournament, followed by Sage and Newbury. Bard went 1-3 on the weekend.
The Raptors hit the road against on Thursday for a non-conference match against Sarah Lawrence College.
