SAUGERTIES, N.Y. - The Bard College men's tennis team lost a 5-4 decision to Yeshiva University in a Skyline Conference match on Tuesday night.
Bard's No. 1 doubles team of
Michael Allen (Belmont, Mass.) and
Erik Wallulis (Portland, Ore.) defeated Joseph Itkis and Avi Bagley, 8-6 - and Bard won defaults at No. 3 doubles and Nos. 4 & 5 singles, but Yeshiva still pulled out a victory.
At No. 2 singles, junior
Joel Richmond (New Hartford, N.Y.) played his third consecutive three-set match, but lost to Ben Pomper 7-5, 3-6, 6-2.
Yeshiva is 6-5 overall, 3-4 in the Skyline Conference.
Bard (2-6, 1-4 Skyline) next plays at Saturday at home at 1 against St. Joseph's College.
