Bard sweeps at home

Cara Chalk had 13 kills in a win over Yeshiva on Sunday.
ANNANDALE-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. - The Bard College women's volleyball team won two matches on Sunday at home, besting Yeshiva University and SUNY Maritime by 3-0 scores.

First, Bard topped Yeshiva, 25-17, 25-17 and 25-11. Sophomore Cara Chalk (Canton, GA), senior Iga Mrozek (New Orleans, LA) and junior Rachel Van Horn (Lawrence, KS) were each in double digits in kills with 13, 11 and 13 respectively. Sophomore Fiona Do Thi (Warsaw, Poland) collected 37 assists in that match.

Later, Bard topped Maritime, 25-6, 25-6 and 25-10. Mrozek and Van Horn had a dozen kills apiece and Do Thi had 27 assists.

Bard is 8-14 overall and 2-8 in the Skyline Conference. The Raptors will host St. Joseph's College of Connecticut on Tuesday in the final home game for Mrozek, a senior.
