ANNANDALE-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. - The Bard College women's volleyball team swept a pair of non-conference matches on Saturday at home, topping Sarah Lawrence, 3-0, and Brooklyn College, 3-1.
The victory against Sarah Lawrence - 25-15, 25-16 and 25-15 - snapped a four-match losing streak for the Raptors. In that match, junior
Rachel Van Horn (Lawrence, KS) and senior
Iga Mrozek (New Orleans, LA) each had seven kills and four digs. Sophomore
Fiona Do Thi (Warsaw, Poland) contributed nine assists and three digs.
Later, Bard lost the first game to Brooklyn College, 20-25, before taking the final three games, 25-23, 25-23 and 25-20. In that match, Van Horn had 11 kills, two aces and eight digs; Do Thi added 11 assists and eight digs.
The Raptors, 6-7 overall and 0-4 in the Skyline Conference, play another non-league match on Wednesday night at SUNY Cobleskill.
