Andy Salvatore

Andy Salvatore is in his 13th season at Bard in 2025 and his 8th season as head coach. Salvatore became the Head Coach in 2016 after serving four seasons as the assistant coach and recruiting coordinator. 

In his time at Bard, Salvatore has coached 27 All-Liberty League Honorees, 104 Liberty League All-Academic Honorees, three All-Region ABCA/Rawlings Honorees, and two CSC Academic All-District Honorees. 

During his time at the helm, Salvatore has helped build a strong foundation for the program, having been at Bard since the Baseball program returned in the fall of 2011. The Raptors have been active in the community and have helped fundraise for Walk to End Alzheimers each year since 2021. 

In 2022, the Raptors had its best season ever, matching the program's most wins of 15, entered the NCAA regional rankings for the first time and finished second in the Liberty League East Division. Salvatore had five Raptors earn All-Liberty League Honorees, which matches the program’s most since 2016. 

In addition to his role as head baseball coach, Salvatore is also the Assistant Athletic Director of Recruiting. 

Coach Salvatore is currently serving in his third year as the American Baseball Coaches Association Div. lll regional representative for New York State. 

Before Bard, Salvatore was an assistant coach at Oswego State for three seasons. During his time in that role, the team had the highest GPA for any men's team at the school, and in 2012, they doubled their number of conference wins from the previous two seasons.

Andy is a graduate of Oswego State and received a Bachelor's Degree in Childhood Education with a minor in Athletic Coaching. While a player at Oswego State, he was part of the ECAC Championship team in 2010, and won the 2010 Oswego Dan Dalbis Memorial Award.
