Mike Romano came to Bard in July of 2015.
Romano came to Bard from Rhode Island College, where he was an assistant coach for three years, providing support and leadership in the areas of scouting, recruiting, practice administration and coaching.
Prior to his work at RIC, Romano was a Graduate Manager/Administrative Assistant at Div. I Marist College while he completed his Masters Degree in Education.
Before Marist, he worked as an assistant coach for one season at his alma mater, Western Connecticut State University, where was assisted with day-to-day basketball operations, recruiting and film exchange. He graduated from Western Connecticut with a bachelor's degree in History.
His first collegiate coaching experience came as a volunteer assistant at Dutchess Community College in 2007-08.
Over the years, Romano has been involved in numerous camps, clinics and AAU organizations. He's been part of The Hoop Group staff for several years, was the Director of Basketball Operations for Elite Basketball of the Hudson Valley.Â
