Madeline Butta is in her second season after joining the women's lacrosse team as the goalkeeper's coach in spring 2024.
In 2025, Bard’s goalkeepers etched their names in the record books. Keira Redmond is t-5th most saves in a single game (15 vs Mt. St. Mary 2/26/25 and vs. Union 3/26/25), while Lexie Blackburn ranks 2nd in career saves (347).
Butta played collegiate lacrosse at Russell Sage for three years, and was named All-Empire 8 Third Team her senior year. She holds the school record for goals against average (12.00) and is second in save percentage (.440) for the Gators. Butta was a three-year starter at Our Lady of Lourdes High School.
Butta graduated Magna Cum Laude with a degree in Psychology in 2022 at Russell Sage.
