Nick joined the women's basketball staff in the fall of 2014.
A native of the region, Nick earned his Bachelor's Degree in Sports Management with a minor in Communications from SUNY Cortland in May of 2013. He then went on to obtain his Master's Degree in Sports Management with a concentration in Administration from SUNY Cortland in 2014.
Rooney's main responsibilities with the team include recruiting, scouting and game preparation, in-game coaching, strength and conditioning, film exchange and breakdown, as well as fundraising.
Before joining the coaching staff in 2014, Nick had worked in various capacities at Bard including event and facility management, business office support, and serving as co-administrator for the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee Leadership Summit.
Nick has worked on a volunteer basis with Bard Women's Basketball in the past while also coaching boys AAU Basketball for a number of years.Â
