Ryan Lee Videgard arrived at Bard in the summer of 2018.
A native of Hawaii, Videgard has been playing and coaching tennis for 20-plus years. He was a Div. I player at Brown for four years while he completed his B.A. in American History. He was an assistant women's tennis coach at Div. II University of California-Davis for three seasons, and Div. I University of Wisconsin-Madison for one season.
He was the head tennis pro at Claremont Resort in Berkeley, Calif., from 2001-03, at Cello International Tennis Academy in Fairfield, Calif., from 2003-05, and he was the Director of Tennis at the Beretania Tennis Club in Honolulu from 2008-14.
An accomplished artist and musician, his artwork has been displayed twice at the Honolulu Museum of Art, and he still tutors music students in cello and bass.
