David Lindholm

David Lindholm took over the cross country and track & field programs in 2018-19.
 
The cross-country program underwent major growth in his first season in the fall of 2018, almost doubling the number of runners and seeing significant improvements in results. At the Liberty League Championship race in 2018, the men’s team saw an average improvement of five minutes over 2017, and the women’s team improved by an average of four minutes.

An experienced coach with a track record of successful recruiting and strong teams, Lindholm has worked with athletes at the Division III and Division I levels in his time at Bard College, the University of Massachusetts, Western New England University, and Middlebury College.

A multi-sport athlete in college, Lindholm has been running competitively for more than a decade, participating in distances from 5k through the marathon. He has mentored athletes of varying levels of experience into setting personal bests, and utilizes advances in technology and physiological understanding to help runners set and achieve their goals. His personal running focus has been obstacle and adventure racing, finishing at or near the top of races in California, Colorado, and New York.

Lindholm is also the Associate Athletic Director at Bard. He resides in Red Hook, N.Y. with his fiancé Mackie Siebens, who also works at Bard.
