Justin Dobbins

Justin Dobbins came to Bard in October of 2017 after playing professional basketball overseas for seven years.

Dobbins played collegiately at Eastern Michigan University, where he averaged 12 points and six rebounds a game in his final season. After graduating with a degree in Computer & Graphic Design in 2010, he began his professional career overseas.

From 2010-12, he played in England, Kosovo and Switzerland. He was named league MVP for Team Peja in Kosovo after leading the team to the championship. In Switzerland, he averaged 17.5 points, 13 rebounds, four assists and three blocks per game.

In 2013, he played in Venezuela, Uruguay and Argentia, earning league MVP honors for Larre Borges in Uruguay with 24.5 points and 15 rebounds per game.

In 2014-15 he remained in South America, winning another league MVP. A knee injury forced him to miss a season, so he returned to his native Ohio and worked with youth, collegiate and professional athletes on skill development and sport performance.

In 2016-17, he played in Uruguay, Oman and Costa Rica. He averaged 24 points and 14 rebounds per game in Uruguary, 23/14 in Costa Rica, and 18/14 for Brenes Barva in Costa Rica before returning to the states.

He is married to head women's basketball coach Casi Donelan-Dobbins, and they have one child. They live in nearby Esopus.
