Justin Gomez is entering his sixth season at Bard and his third season as associate head baseball coach. Gomez arrived at Bard in 2020.

In August 2025, Gomez was named the Athletics Development Coordinator. In his role, Gomez will support the department's fundraising initiatives by organizing the annual Golf Outing, the Raptors' Call to Give, and establishing new initiatives to bring in additional gifts. He will also work to maintain and improve department-wide sponsorships.

In October 2024, Gomez was named the Athletics Diversity and Inclusion Designee (ADID). He is the conduit for information related to national-, local- and campus-level issues of diversity and inclusion in athletics and supports diverse and inclusive practices related to the NCAA, Liberty League, and Bard Athletics.

In Gomez's time as an assistant under head coach Andy Salvatore, Bard has continued to grow in competitiveness both inside and outside the Liberty League, and had nine Raptors named to All-Liberty League Teams. In 2022, the team earned nine league wins, set a program record, and defeated several strong regional rivals, including Middlebury and Williams. The 2022 season saw the Raptors finish second in the East division of the Liberty League and enter the NCAA Regional Ranking for the first time.

As the department's Facilities Coordinator, Gomez will oversee the maintenance and scheduling of Bard's athletic facilities. He will also be the primary point of contact for external rentals and will supervise student staff in the building.

Prior to arriving at Bard, Gomez worked at Historic Dodgertown in Vero Beach, Fla, in their baseball operations department. He attended the University of Tampa in Tampa, where he majored in Sports Management, minored in Business Administration, and was a member of the Spartans baseball team.

Gomez is heavily involved in the local baseball community, helping run camps and clinics and teaching young people the game of baseball.

Gomez resides in Poughkeepsie with girlfriend, Lindsey Veersma, who is the head women’s volleyball coach, and dog, Pretzel.
